Description: This film is a romantic comedy about a Feng Shui Master, who doesn’t know any Feng Shui. He is forced to take over the family business when his father suddenly dies. Armed with limited knowledge, he must uphold the family reputation.

Shooting Schedule: This film will be shot from July 12th – August 30th. These dates are subject to change slightly depending on actor availability and location availability. Please note that most filming will occur during weeknights and weekends. Not all actors will be needed everyday of shooting.

Audition Dates: May 31st and June 1st; held in San Jose

Filming Locations: San Jose/Santa Clara area.

After receiving your headshots, we will send an e-mail confirmation to you, letting you know that we did receive your headshots. If we feel you can fill a role, we will contact you again to let you know we would like you to audition. You will then be able to select a time slot.

Compensation: Unfortunately this is a very grass roots effort, so there is no pay other than a weekly stipend and meals. However, this film will be entered into various film festivals, such as Sundance, San Francisco International, Toronto, etc. You will also get screen credit for your efforts.

Major Characters:

Thomas Yang – Chinese, mid twenties, the hopeless dreamer who has been trapped into carrying on the tradition of the Yang’s, who have a lineage of being great Feng Shui masters. He is smart and very observant.

Charlie – Chinese, mid twenties, he is the dreamer who made it. Charlie is outgoing, the adventurer. He has a swash buckling attitude about things and is very gung ho.

Rebecca Moore, aka – Becky, , mid twenties, Asian, beautiful, social butterfly, she is energetic, but doesn’t know what she wants. She dabbles in everything and quickly moves onto the next thing.

Other Characters (1-5 speaking scenes)
Young Thomas Yang, 7-10 years old. Thomas when he was a child

Master Yang, 50s, Thomas’ father, a strict Feng Shui master. He comes off as more a strict teacher than a father.

Jenny Yang , early 20s, Thomas’ sister, the dutiful daughter, and overall great sibling walks in.

John Lee, 30, Chinese, thin, the typical Chinese man in looks. John is an enthusiastic about Feng Shui and is a geeky engineer. He is married to Helen Lee.

Helen Lee, mid 20’s, appears to be high maintenance. She is John Lee’s wife and is clearly a trophy wife concerned about herself. She has married John because of his wealth.

Mr. & Mrs. Chin, they are a middle class family and are both in their mid 40s. They are immigrants and speak fairly decent English They have 2 children who are in junior high. They are strict parents and pack rats.

Hot Girl at a club – this girl should be Asian. Stuck up. She thinks she is all that and a bag of potato chips.

Girl 2 – this is a VO for a telephone call scene.

Hostess – a girl who works at a fairly nice, Sino like restaurant.

DIANE, mid twenties, a TAB. She is Thomas’ ex-girlfriend who was with him because of his reputation in the community.

Audrey, mid twenties, hot, outgoing, not dressed like a TAB, but dresses to show her hotness.

Grace, mid twenties, hot, etc. Audrey’s friend.

Lily, mid twenties, hot, etc, Audrey’s friend.

Waitress, 30-40 the typical diner waitress.
