    Saratoga Drama Group is casting the role of Coalhouse Walker, Jr. in the musical "Ragtime." African-American male baritone with solid upper range, 25 – 30s. Coalhouse is proud, confident and stubborn, a romantic character, but willing to become violent for his righteous cause. Vocal range is Ab to G, with a sustained high F#.


    Rehearsals begin July 7. Performances weekends Oct. 4 - 25 at the Saratoga Civic Theatre, Saratoga, CA. Significant stipend is available for this role.
