    Production Manager needed for Archbishop Mitty's 2008-2009 season

    Archbishop Mitty High School is seeking a qualified Production Manager to train high school technical theater students in a practical production-oriented setting. Production Manager will work with crew to produce all technical aspects of the production. Duties would include:


    1. Perform set construction to include interpreting design; ordering supplies and working with a budget; making space to store/secure; and cutting, painting, repairing, and modifying stage props for shows and plays.


    2. Handle paperwork such as purchase orders.


    3. Keep the shop organized by planning space utilization and ensuring the safe/secure storage of sets and supplies.


    4. Responsible for facility maintenance/management. Teach students how to manage the facility and to apply academic knowledge.

    This is the ideal job for a person finishing up college or just graduated.

    Plan on approximately 60 hours per production (typically 6 5-hour Saturdays and tech week). Our productions next year are Thoroughly Modern Millie, Leading Ladies, and Les Miserables (so knowledge in operating a revolve is a plus! We already have plans for the build).


    Compensation is competitive based on local high school pay.
