Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Lucky Stiff, My Favorite Year, Once On This Island, and Ragtime) have lovingly brought to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, Lazy Mayzie and all of the Whos of Whoville! These classic, colorful tales are seamlessly brought together by Jojo, a young boy and "thinker of strange and wonderful thinks"! As each story unfolds you will marvel at how relevant and profound Seuss's subtle themes are; making this musical one that appeals to all ages.

AUDITIONS:
Sunday, July 20, 2008 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Monday, July 21, 2008 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm

WHERE: Washington Park, 840 W. Washington Ave, Sunnyvale

PREPARATION: Be prepared to sing, dance, and act; dress to move. Bring sheet music in your key. No tapes will be permitted, as an accompanist will be provided. Please bring a recent photo or one will be taken for you for the fee of $1.00.

REHEARSALS:
Sunday evenings from 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm,
Monday through Thursday evenings 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm, beginning July 27, 2008.

TECH WEEK: September 7 - 11, 2008 No Conflicts!

PERFORMANCES:
September 12, 13, 14, 18, 19, 20, 21, 25, 26, 27, 28, 2008
October 2, 3, 4, 5, 2008

EXPENSES: Refundable script deposit and personal items such as makeup and undergarments

ROLES: NOTE: Our production of Seussical will place a strong emphasis on the ensemble, with every cast member except Horton playing more than one role and many playing several. In the truest sense, THERE ARE NO SMALL PARTS.
