    Second Wind Productions is holding auditions for it's upcoming production of "Flag Day" by Lee Blessing. We're looking for one African-American female (20-35 years of age) for the role of Dot, and two males: 1 Caucasion male (30-55 years) for the role of Rex; 1 male, any ethnicity (16-30 years) for the role of Adam.


    AUDITIONS: Noon to 4pm on July 13th at the Phoenix Theatre in San Francisc. By appointment only: call (415) 508-5614.


    PERFORMANCES: Flag Day performans September 5-29th. A Friday - Sunday matinee schedule.


    STIPEND: Flag Day consists of two one act plays. The roles of Dot, Rex, and Adam are all in the second one act, so rehearsals time will be less than for a full length. We're offering a $200 stipend.


    REHEARSALS/PERFORMANCE: Rehearsals for Flag Day will be in San Francisco; we rehearse 7-10pm Monday-Thursday; and Sunday afternoons from noon to 5pm. Performances will take place at Theatre on San Pedro Square in downtown San Jose.


    ABOUT THE PLAY: Flag Day is an exploration of black-white relations in America. The first play focuses on unspoken racism; the second with a famous incident of vehicular murder in 2001.
