CSMA is eager to meet candidates whose backgrounds match the needs of our organization and are interested in filling immediate part-time openings as a Music and Art Teacher for ages 18 months through 5 years of age. Candidates must be responsible, punctual, energetic and creative. We are seeking team players; however individuals must also work independently. Applicant must also love and respect all children, while having good communication skills with parents and staff. These part-time, non-exempt positions report to the Early Childhood Education Program Coordinator. Responsibilities: • Implement the daily schedule; • Maintain an orderly classroom; • Plan and lead daily themed activities; • Communicate effectively with parents and staff; • Promote interest in music and art education among parents of pre-school children; • Perform additional tasks as requested by the Early Childhood Education Program Coordinator. Qualifications: • Experience working with children 18 months – 5 years, experience w/ a parent co-op, and ECE units a plus; • Pro-active, collaborative and efficient in a team environment; • Excellent time management, presentation, facilitation, written and verbal skills; • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with students, faculty, parents, and staff; • Ability to work a flexible schedule; • Enthusiasm for the arts and education; • Music teachers MUST play an instrument; guitar preferred.
