    Camp/Workshop Coordinator - PART TIME

    CSMA is looking for an energetic, organized and creative person for our Camp/Workshop Coordinator. This position is responsible for ensuring the success of our vacation camps and year-round one-day art workshops. This is a flexible 20 hour a week position during non-camp weeks and 40 hours a week during school holiday and summer camps. Arts background preferred. Responsibilities:  Art Camps:  Responsible for ensuring a safe, inspiring and educational experience for all vacation camp participants.  Communicate regularly with parents regarding camp participation. Work in partnership with various departments within CSMA to maintain program’s success.  Ensure quality of camp program offering with thoughtful faculty and aide hiring, volunteer coordination, appropriate curriculum development, end of camp art shows, class scheduling, and classroom and aide supervision.  Develop and supervise camp annual budget and ensure proper reporting of teaching hours.  Manage art supply ordering.  One-day Workshops: Oversee growth of program with increased awareness and enrollment through various marketing tactics and direct outreach to the community. Communicate regularly with participants.  Work in partnership with various departments within CSMA to maintain program’s success. Be present at the beginning of each workshop to ensure proper setup etc. Ensure quality of offerings with thoughtful faculty selection, interesting topics, room set-up and class scheduling.  Develop annual budget, manage art supply needs and ensure proper reporting of expenses.  Perform additional tasks as requested by the Visual Arts Director. Qualifications:  Minimum two years teaching or after school program management experience. Ability to prioritize needs and work independently with minimal direction and supervision. Detail oriented, resourceful, extremely organized and excellent multi-tasking abilities.  Good written and verbal communication skills.  Proactive, creative, problem-solving attitude.  Ability to deal effectively with students, faculty, parents, and staff. Enthusiasm for the arts and education.
