The Coastal Arts League Museum invites artists to participate in the 24th Annual Juried Show. The show will be displayed from December 12, 2008 through January 5, 2009.

Coastal Arts League is a non-profit organization founded in 1979 and is run by and for the artists. The takes pride in showing the best of an eclectic range of artistic styles from around the country. The annaul juried art show is opne to entries of any media or subject. Each year a respected juror selects a compelling show form all the entries

The Juror for the the 24th Annual Juried show is:

Jerry Emanuel Curator, Museum Director, Museum Director, and Art agent formerly with established galleries in New York and San Francisco.

The Juror also selects entries to recieve the following awards

Bernice Seymore Award (1) $100 for Best in show 2-D

Zoe Tierney Award (1) $100 for Best in show 3-D

Shirley Zynda Award (1) $100 for Best in Show Photo

Guidelines

* Open to all artists and works are subject to all guidelines as outlined below, submitted as 8" x 10"

computer prints or photos and received by November 12, 2008. Prints will not be returned.

* Identifying information must only be indicated on the back of the print: Artist, Title, Size, Medium, Price

and Entry Number.

* Art work entries can be delivered in person on November 8, 9 or 10.

* CAL reserves the right to refuse any entry not accurately represented by entry image(s) or not suitable

presented for exhibition.

* Images for Juror must be 2-D: All including: oil, acrylic, prints, watercolor, drawings, pastel, mixed

media, photography, fiber, metal, jewelry, ceramics and graphics.

* All 2-D works must be suitably framed, no clip on glass and/or Plexiglas frames accepted.

* 3-D: All including: sculpture, bas-relief, textiles, pottery, jewelry, ceramics, mixed media and wearable

art.

* Art work must be able to pass through a standard size door.

* If any work requires more than one person to life or move, the artists must provide assistance for

installation.

* Art work cannot have won a prize in any previous CAL show.

* Artwork must be original and not copied.

Entry Fees

All proceeds go to the Coastal Arts League a non-profit / volunteer organization that promotes local artists and graphics designers.

* CAL Members entry fee is $10.00 for the first entry, $5.00 for each subsequent entry.

* For NON - CAL Member(s) the entry fee is $15.00 for the first entry, $7.50 for each subsequent entry.

Deadlines / Calendar

* Entries must be received by November 12, 2008

* Acceptance notifications for competition via e-mail or phone November 30, 2008

* Award Reception 5 to 8 p.m. and Award Ceremony at 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2008

* Pick-up Art Work on January 3, 4 or 5, 2009
