Sorry for the sudden/short notice, but one of the Thunderbird Theatre Company's production members (who has often aquired great props for us) sent me this message for re-distribution (below).

VARIOUS PROPS, who wants, needs them, come and get them

HI Bryce and theater friends of ours.

My hotel [Westin St. Francis on Union Square, SF] is throwing away all kind of stuff that could be potential props for different styles of plays. I rescued from the dumpster (today Wednesday morning), two 4 ft tall white "antiqued" roman columns, a 5ft tall ship's wheel(any pirate plays coming up?) on a sturdy stand, 3ft long/2 ft tall Metal golden sled and a 4ft reindeer(Christmas prop anyone?) both matching, want front yard deco for X-mas? If anybody drives by the Westin St Francis Hotel there is a dumpster on the Post Street side(between Mason and Powell) and the hotel doesn't mind if people go dumpster diving(it's open from the back so you can see what is in there), they were actually encouraging people to take stuff.There is even a huge water fountain(could make great back yard pond liner for the folks who actually have one...back yard that is..) So, let me know if you need any of the stuff I have..if I can't give it away to friends I will try to sell it on craigslist(or garage sale) The ships wheel is AWESOME, if somebody want to use in their house decor!!! I will also get a load of old linens from the hotel, different color table cloths, silks ,skirtings so let me know if you are looking for any specific material for costumes, I will let you know if I have that, feel free forwarding this e-mail to different theatre companies and have they contact me Johanna100@aol.com to see what else I can rescue/recycle from the hotel.
