    "Art in the Air” Banner Competition 2010

    Santa Clara County artists are invited to compete for cash awards in a banner competition sponsored by the City of Santa Clara and its Cultural Advisory Commission. The deadline to enter is December 14, 2009 and the banners will be displayed on streetlight poles within the City of Santa Clara as part of the City’s “Art in the Air” display from April through September 2010. A jury composed of three Santa Clara Cultural Advisory Commissioners will choose the designs to be featured on the banners, and designs will be judged for creativity and visual impact from a distance. Selected artists will receive a blank banner upon which to paint their design, and an honorarium will be awarded upon completion of each selected banner.


    The competition is open to artists over the age of 18 in Santa Clara County.
