    Job Title: TEMPORARY Tessitura Application Specialist

    Category: Full-Time, Temporary at minimum through December 2009, Non-Exempt

    Reports to: Database Administrator

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Monitor and ensure integrity of donor and patron information in Tessitura database

    • Generate reports, lists, and data extractions

    • Train users as needed

    • Review and update the security structure for the Tessitura database

    • Ensure assignment of correct security rights

    • Assist in the implementation of fundraising and ticketing setup in Tessitura, including configuration of campaigns, appeals, sources, venues maps, performances, price maps, price types, etc.

    • Monitor “webmaster” email address, forwarding requests from web users to the appropriate personnel

    • Assist Art Director and other staff in use of website content management system software

    • Test web/database integration functionality currently under development

    • Test custom reports and gather requirements for custom reporting from TheatreWorks staff

    • Provide support to the Finance Department for reconciliation of financial reports from Tessitura

    • Lead meetings of the TheatreWorks Tessitura users group

    • Create documentation for Tessitura and related applications detailing TheatreWorks-specific systems, policies, and procedures

    • Adhere to TheatreWorks policies as listed in Employee Handbook

    • Other duties as assigned: This position is a team member of the TheatreWorks staff. All staff members support TheatreWorks at large. All personnel participate, as needed and within regularly scheduled work hours, in TheatreWorks functions, on site and off.

    The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

    • Experience working with Tessitura and familiarity with database administration

    • Knowledge of T-SQL database language

    • Knowledge of Infomaker report writing software

    • Ability to self-train using manuals, knowledgebase, and other documentation

    • Track-record of detail-oriented, efficient work

    • A willingness to collaborate and to work well with others

    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to track multiple, simultaneous projects

    Compensation: Hourly, commensurate with experience.
