Metalsmith Whitney Couch works in sterling silver, copper, gold and other media. The exhibition will feature her “Consuming the Divine” series, a group of sculptures embodying the sacred quality of food. Sculptor Nancy Youdelman creates mixed media and bronze sculptures combining feminine attire with non-traditional materials, including photographs, stamps, plant materials, jewelry and buttons. The exhibition -- “Clothing, Metaphor & Memory” – presents works showing Youdelman’s ingenious transformation of clothing into art, garments that are richly ornamented, tangled with meaning, and evocative of people, other worlds, life and death.
