I've not been to one of these in person, but the video I watched of it had me loving the idea. If I'm still in the Bay Area when I've got kids, I'd much sooner bring them to this than have them take lessons in any one thing. Dawn seems to be a captivating teacher who ignites the music spark within children and can help them cultivate a passion to match hers. Collapse

Advertised as a "Gift to the community", it certainly was on many levels. To sit in Stanford's memorial church on a spring evening and hear the best choral groups of the Bay Area producing the best music for FREE is truly a gift. I seriously suggest calling this annual event "The Gift Concert" from now on to perpetuate this fabulous choral presentation. It was inspiring to see youth choirs performing back to back with adult choirs. To close the concert with the Stanford Chamber Singers left the audience fully satisfied with the grace of their music and the quiet confidence of their achievement. A GIFT to be remembered! Collapse
