    Cubberley Artists are holding Open Studios for a viewing of art, art and more art. Park once and visit 26 artists who create paintings, collages, textile art, sculptures, video and photography. Among the current artist residents are a diverse group of painters, photographers, video artists, sculptors, as well as fiber and mixed media artists many with Master of Fine Arts degrees and major gallery representation. The artists originate from eight different countries, and reside in either Santa Clara or San Mateo counties. The Artists in Residence program began almost twenty years ago as a way for Palo Alto to sustain the presence of visual artists within the community. Cubberley Residents are awarded their studios through a jury process administered every two years by The City of Palo Alto. The program provides artists with studio space to rent as well as the privilege of being part of a vibrant community. This is a special opportunity to get inside the working environments of a group of highly accomplished artists. The artists open their studios to the public every May and December. The group has recently launched a website so the community will be able to follow their work throughout the year.
