    Saatvika explores the internalization of emotions that is crucial for the portrayal of "Abhinaya" – loosely translated as the art of communication. When such emotions displayed by the dancer evoke a sympathetic response from the audience, the aesthetic flavor or "Rasa" is subconsciously created and the objective of Indian dance is achieved. The emotion of Sringara-love in manifest forms is an ideal one that will be communicated by Rasika through the elaborate choreography of a composition of 19th century composer Maharaja Swati Tirunal. As Sattvika also evokes serenity and tranquillity, Rasika will present pieces dealing with the Buddha and Sri Aurobindo’s classic poem on the Bliss of Brahman. Professional musicians, visiting from India, will be involved with composing music and accompanying Rasika’s dance performance. Musicians include E. P. Sudev Warrier (vocals) K. S. Sudhaman (mridangam) and A.P. Krishna Prasad (flute). Additionally, Malavika Kumar, daughter and disciple of Mythili Kumar will be providing nattuvangam (the art of conducting the orchestra with cymbals and recitation).
