This dazzling, heartbreaking play time-travels between two centuries, contrasting two different generations of an aristocratic family. As characters in both times try to recover the long-lost past, Stoppard’s peerless wit and wisdom conspire to tell us that there is no Arcadia, no golden past--just the fallible, mortal present. And we are all, always, headed toward the same end.

What a fantastic show this is! Stoppard is a our modern day Shakespeare and this production is excellent. If you have time, read the play or a synopsis before going. It's a very complicated text which will leave you mentally perplexed. My suggestion is to just enjoy the show without worrying about the details. The language is musical and witty and the cast plays it to near perfection. Collapse

One of the most talented playwrights and one of the deepest, most entertaining, and wonderful plays is being presented with an adorable and professional cast. The script is heavy with big thoughts, and quick wit you will miss if you aren't paying attention, so come prepared to absord the passionate rhetoric, the satirical look at academia that floats about the intimate Pear theatre and to laugh. Great performances! Collapse
