Renowned actor and local playwright Will Marchetti’s sparkling new comedy about a San Francisco family facing midlife has a delicious twist. What begins as a chat over peach cobbler leads to a series of announcements and a family crisis. The ensuing visitations by an increasingly absurd and hilarious group of relations and friends, not to mention a guru, build to a crescendo in this world premiere farce. For mature audiences only.

With all the great work SJStage does, you wonder sometimes how they can have hit after hit. This show, unfortunately is a miss. The writing was flawed, the acting much weaker than you would expect from this theatre and though short, it really missed the mark. The lights and sound were great, the set was great but there was a lot lacking in this production and after the first act I was hoping to be better entertained. This may be a case of Everybody Love Raymond. Not everybody does, and in fact the people that don't really don't, but there may be a demographic out there that find this to be a pretinent amusing piece. Just not me. Collapse
