Add Review/CommentThis exhibition surveys the work of New York and Seoul-based artist Il Lee. Born in Seoul, Korea in 1952, he received his M.F.A. in Painting from the Pratt Institute in New York in the 1970s, when minimalism dominated the international art scene. His work is non-representational and reductive in style, yet may also be linked to Asian calligraphy. Lee is best known for his expressive yet subtle work using the unorthodox medium of ballpoint pen on paper and canvas.
