Add Review/CommentTo celebrate the West Coast Premiere of Bill of (W)rights, we will be hosting a Fight for your Rights Fundraiser Party! Come support your RTE friends and have a blast exercising your right to party with plenty of adult beverages and delicious fine foods! Whether you are conservative, moderate, liberal, or just plain whacked, you will fit right in with this politically themed evening. We will define the rights that our forefathers missed, like the Right to Make Annoying People Stop Talking, the Right to Eat Ice Cream for Dinner or the Right to Steal Kisses in the Hoover Theatre. You play an integral role in defining our new democracy and helping perfect our brave new world. There will also be a fun silent auction with fabulous items donated by some of San Jose's finest businesses who value the importance of theatre in their community. All proceeds from this evening help make it possible for RTE to continue to be the South Bay's choice for Alternative Theatre! All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. The evening's festivities kick-off with a rocking, righteous pre-show party. There will be food, adult beverages, and musical entertainment by dRAW PINKY, the tangential yet profound presence from Sacramento that will be expressing their freedom of speech with political themed rock. Starting at 8pm, everyone will file into the theatre to take part in the greatest RTE theatrical experiment ever, the West Coast Premiere of Bill of (W)Rights. This political fun house examines the relevancy of the Bill of Rights in our post 9-11 society. These ten vignettes will challenge you as we see what happens when people of different faiths, nationalities, religions, and beliefs clash. See what happens when someone spies on you without your consent. Find out what it would be like if the government used the fear of terrorism to invade your personal life.
