Carly Fiorina spent six years as CEO of Hewlett-Packard, one of Silicon Valley’s most legendary companies. Her actions, bold leadership style, and controversial merger with Compaq made her a target for industry analysts, media, and shareholders. A year after her sudden and public firing by HP’s Board of Directors, Fiorina opens up with brutal honesty about her personal and professional triumphs and failures as well as her deepest fears and most painful confrontations. She’ll discuss how she climbed the corporate ladder in an industry dominated by men and what it’s really like to be the head of a Fortune 500 company.

What an awesome person to meet and hear. How many people - much less women - can one name who has headed as public a company as HP, and who has been in the public eye, under heavy criticism, and given up so much in life to lead with a strong hand? Ah, women of the world, take note, and lead through the criticisms, the male-dominated world of the Board Rooms, and corporations. Take charge. Carly is, and was, definitely a woman with a vision. I am looking forward to learning from her! Collapse
