    The Community Band was founded in 1977 as part of the Ohlone College Department of Music. Over the years, the Community Band grew under the baton of past conductors Phil Zahorsky and Rich Levin. The Band has been under the direction of Steve Barnhill since 1997 and has enjoyed an exciting period of success. The Band has a wonderful blend of youth and experience and is an outstanding example of the benefits of a music education. The band has a wide variety of literature to challenge both the audience and the ensemble itself.

    • Parking Info

      The most convenient parking is in lots C, D, and E. It's possible to drop your party off closer to the theatre at Key B, and then return after parking in another lot. You cannot park your car in Key B. Disabled parking is located in lot U above the Smith Center. Parking permits are required all day Monday through Friday, and on Saturday until 5 pm. Permits are $1.50 each and available from vending machines in the parking lots. Season subscribers can buy advance passes from the box office.
