Join us for an evening of Viennese waltzing at the Pontevedrian Embassy in Paris at a ball inspired by that most romantic of operettas - Franz Lehar's "The Merry Widow." Late Victorian or Edwardian evening dress, dress uniform, vintage attire, or modern evening evening dress is admired, not required (the operetta's premiere was in 1905 but every production of the operetta changes the year). Bangers & Mash plays an evening of beautiful rotary waltzes, swirling Viennese waltzes and polkas, mazurka waltzes, schottisches, reels, and other popular couple and set dances as well as those perennial favorites - the Congress of Vienna Waltz, the Blue Danube, the Bohemian National Polka, Lancers, and, of course, the Merry Widow Waltz. As usual, all set dances will be briefly taught or called at the ball, and partners are not required. The evening's entertainment includes music and dance performances and DJ dance music during the band breaks for you insatiable dancers.
