    Now in the fifth decade of his career, Neil Young, still amazes fans with his ability to stay ahead of the curve. In the spring of 2005, Young was dealing with the recent death of his father when he was diagnosed with a potentially fatal brain aneurysm. As life-saving surgery was scheduled, Young immersed himself in writing and recording what he knew might be his last album. Out poured ideas about family, friends, mortality, and the passage of time.
