    The Visa Championships, the nations premier gymnastics event, will feature the best gymnasts in the country competing for the title of National Champion. Positioned one year before the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China, the event will help to identify which Americans are ready to take on the world. The Visa Championships will showcase four gymnastics disciplines - Artistic (Men's and Women's), Rhythmic and Acrobatics. Approximately, 720 athletes, coaches and officials will participate. The 2007 Visa Championships will determine the national champion for mens and womens artistic and rhythmic gymnastics. The artistic gymnastics will be held at HP Pavilion at San Jose and rhythmic gymnastics and acrobatic gymnastics are set for the San Jose McEnery Convention Center. The USA Gymnastics National Congress and Trade Show will also be held at the McEnery Convention Center in conjunction with the 2007 Visa Championships. The Visa Championships traces its history back to 1897 for the men and 1931 for the women. This will be the first time the championships have been held in San Jose.
