It's more Tuesday night fun with Swing Central on 'Live Band Night!' Come swing dance to the lively music of Swing Fever. Music Starts at 9:15pm and you can dance until Midnight! Swing Fever is dedicated to the music of the 1930s and '40s, playing it, as jazz critic Phil Elwood once said, as though the numbers are "on today's Hit Parade." The band treats Swing era music as a living, breathing form to which the players bring fresh excitement, new arrangements and unusual instrumentation. Clever, fun, romantic, moody, witty - here is wonderful, classic music presented in its full emotional range.

    I haven't been there in a while because it's not near my house. However, it used to be a great place to dance for beginners and intermediate level dancers. The lessons were well done and the bands were great. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars from me is the lack of air conditioning. They may have added that in the last year. Collapse

    Swing Central is a great place to dance whether you are a beginner or an intermediate dancer. The dances taught mostly focuses on the "Lindy Hop" and covers other dances in the swing dance era like the "Charleston" and "Balboa". Once in a while, Swing Central hosts live music performances by dancer favorite bands like Lavay Smith and Her Red Hot Skillet Licker and Steve Lucky and the Rhumba Bums featuring Miss Carmen Getit.
