Add Review/CommentAmram's commissioned piece, based on Woody Guthrie's American anthem This Land Is Your Land, will be featured in the season opening concerts. Amram was last in San Jose in October 2005, when Symphony Silicon Valley performed his jazz-, blues-, and world-music-infused Triple Concerto. Paul Polivnick – a special favorite with Symphony musicians and audiences – will conduct Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony No. 6. The evening will end with Janacek's striking Sinfonietta.
