Add Review/CommentA young conductor presents us a basket of treats. Sara Jobin, the first woman to conduct San Francisco Opera, leads Copland's glowing Americana suite, ending with the Quaker hymn, "Simple Gifts". Two of Strauss' most light-hearted works follow: the witty tale of Till Eulenspiegel, and the waltz-filled Rosenkavalier Suite. SSV principal Tony Clements will shine in Vaughan Williams' virtuosic Tuba Concerto. Program will include, Aaron Copland's Appalachian Spring, Ralph Vaughan Williams' Tuba Concerto in F minor, Richard Strauss' Till Eulenspiegels lustige Streiche, and Richard Strauss' Der Rosenkavalier Suite
