The Woman in Black is a beautifully written mystery still running to sold-out houses in London after almost two decades! A recent review from the Daily Telegraph notes that the play "is one the the most brilliantly effective spine-chillers you will ever encounter." It is a classic ghost story, complete with deserted mansion, haunted graveyard, and locals who don't dare breathe a word of the horrors they have witnessed. "It relies on atmosphere, a vivid sense of place, on hints and glimpses and suggestions, on what is shadowy, heard and sometimes only "half-seen." Meet a man haunted by a terrible event which befell him many years ago with tragic results. His attempt to exorcise this past encounter creates an absorbing, mesmerizing tale witout a trace of self-mockery or absurdity.

What a fantastic show all around! The script was clever, the acting really wonderful and skillful, and the technical magic is so worth it. CTC does a stellar job with this production from beginning to end. Surprisingly scary, adn as a lover of horror films I was certainly skeptical at how theatre could make me jump. But it's just such a unique and wonderful piece. Please go see this, it's the last week and you'll be really delighted you did. Collapse
