Add Review/CommentTo help shed light on the escalating violence and mass genocide currently taking place in the Darfur region of Sudan, the Saratoga Youth Commission will be hosting a lecture. According to CNN World News, an estimated 200,000 people have been killed as a result of this 4 year-old conflict and more than 2 million citizens have been driven from their homes. It has been regarded by the United Nations as one of the world's worst humanitarian crises. The free event, part of the Youth Commission’s two-year old Teen Inspiration Lecture Series, is open to all-ages and a suggested donation of $3 is requested. Elissa Test, a coordinator for the human-right groups Americans Against the Darfur Genocide, will be one of the featured speakers.
