Technically advanced and visually stunning, The IMAX Dome Experience is the world's most powerful and immersive movie experience. Current IMAX Films: Hurricane on the Bayou: A powerfully moving large format film unlike any other, Hurricane on the Bayou carries audiences behind today's news headlines on a journey deep into the soul-stirring heart of Louisiana before, during and after the unprecedented devastation of Hurricane Katrina. Unfolding against the poignant backdrop of the most costly natural disaster in America's history, MacGillivray Freeman's IMAX cameras follow a group of four musicians, both legendary and rising, as they explore the electrifying culture of New Orleans: speed through the beautiful, alligator-filled bayous on airboats; recount their heart-wrenching, personal stories of Katrina; and most of all, bring the focus to the rapidly disappearing wetlands that are New Orleans' first line of defense against deadly storms. Vanishing at an astonishing rate of one acre every 38 minutes according to the U.S. Geological Survey, the wealth, cultural vitality and very future of New Orleans depend on the preservation of these wetlands. Narrated by Academy Award-winning actress Meryl Streep and driven by a rousing Jazz, Blues and Gospel-fueled soundtrack, Hurricane on the Bayou is both a haunting document of a storm's human effects and a compelling call to restore Louisiana's wetlands, rebuild New Orleans, and honor the place where America's most vibrant home-grown culture was born. Greece: Secrets of the Past: This film takes you on a sweeping archeological journey back in time. The film sets out on a quest to uncover the buried secrets of one of the world's most enlightened societies, ancient Greece during the Golden Age. Join a modern archeological dig merged with some of the most advanced digital re-creations ever undertaken. Greece: Secrets of the Past is a story of a Greek archeologist of the 21st century who is uncovering the secret history of his ancient ancestors. Witness scenes that restore such centuries-old spectacles as the original Parthenon and the volcanic eruption that buried Santorini in 1646 BC. Mystic India: The first epic large-format film on India, follows the journey of an extraordinary 11-year-old child named Neelkanth as he treks for 7 years, 8,000 miles, barefoot across the length and breadth of India. Walking with this young yogi, experience the colorful traditions and festivals of an ancient land, explore a diverse country of deserts, tropical forests, mountains, and plains, and introduce yourself to over a billion people who speak 18 different languages and over a thousand dialects. Mystic India is a journey of exploration, a journey of education, but above all else a journey of inspiration. Through all its colors, breathtaking landscapes, and intriguing faces, Mystic India has one simple message - the universally inspiring message of Unity in Diversity. As he narrates the film, Peter O'Toole highlights the theme of Neelkanth's journey: "We are all one people; we share the same sky, walk the same earth, breath the same air; that we are a single human family."
