    The Youth Science Institute, located in Vasona Park, offers afternoon science classes for children pre-k to 4th grade. Class topics vary from week to week, but will include Butterfly Buffet - a closer look at metamorphosis, Lake Explorers - an exploration of the lake habitat at Vasona Park, and Gross Science - a closer look at the less talked about sides of science. Classes are an hour and fifteen minutes long and require prior registration.
