    Mimi Dye, violist and Artistic Director of TOPAZ, and Jackeline Rago, cuatro player, percussionist and Musical Director of the Venezuelan Music Project, join together to perform Venezuelan music, American jazz standards and original compositions in a benefit concert for All Saints' Outreach Programs. Other members of the Venezuelan Music Project performing are: Donna Viscuso, flutist and sax player, Sam Bevan, bassist, Lali Mejia, percussionist and Anna Maria Violich, vocalist. Let the exhilarating rhythms and melodies of the Americas lift your spirits and win your heart! A festive reception and art exhibit by award-winning artist Siri Huntoon will follow. TOPAZ, an innovative world-class music ensemble, is committed to using the arts to build community spirit and awareness through benefit concerts. The Venezuelan Music Project has established the tradition of presenting Venezuelan music and culture in the U.S. and abroad. Mimi Dye, violist, composer & Artistic Director of TOPAZ, is well known to Bay Area audiences as a soloist, chamber musician, and jazz performer. Ms. Dye has appeared as soloist with the Carmel Bach Festival, San Francisco Chamber Players, New York String Ensemble, Nova Vista Symphony, Palo Alto Philharmonic and the Baroque Chamber Players and is an artist-in-residence at the Yachats Festival in Oregon. Jackeline Rago, a multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, producer and educator, specializes in Venezuelan Folk Music as well as music from around Latin America and the Caribbean. Ms. Rago studied the Folk-Venezuelan "Cuatro" and mandolin under the tutelage of Venezuelan folklorist Angel Guanipa, and is also an accomplished percussionist and vocalist. Ms. Rago has been awarded grants from the Rockefeller Foundation, California Arts Council, Meet the Composer/Readers Digest Commissioning Program, The NEA and the Lila Wallace Readers Digest Foundation.
