Rosita documents the political, social, and religious sentiments surrounding the rape and pregnancy of a nine-year-old Nicaraguan girl in Costa Rica. Rosita’s story reached people throughout Latin America and Europe, who came together in support of the young victim, speaking against the oppressive authorities of the government and the Church. Spanish with English Subtitles. The International Latino Film Festival- San Francisco Bay Area takes place every November featuring film screenings and events throughout the Bay Area. If you missed any of last year's events or just love the movies, ILFF's "Best of the Festival: Year Round Screenings" offers public screenings of the most fascinating films from last year's Festival, some of which might not otherwise be screened in the United States this year! For less than half of what you pay for a movie ticket, you can participate in important cultural events not to be missed.
