Add Review/CommentOne-man Play featuring Morio Kazama This is the compelling story that projects a life of a typical “salary-man”: a Japanese corporate executive who is paid a fixed salary no matter how committed he is to his career. This character can only fully express himself when performing Karaoke, which has become a international cultural phenomenon. The character reveals a number of different roles in his life, such as father, husband, son, company man, and lover to a secret mistress. His way of surviving is to use Karaoke no matter which role he takes at the moment. At work, people call him the "Karaoke Man". MORIO KAZAMA is the Winner of ‘The National Arts Festival Grand Prize for Stage Arts` and `The Yomiuri Theater Award: The BEST ACTOR. Born in Tokyo in 1949, Morio started acting at age of 10 and in 1977, joined TUKA KOHEI Theater Company. Since then, he’s been actively working for stages, films and TV. Today, Morio Kazama is an absolute star in Japan. The play is performed in Japanese with English subtitles. Running time is 75 mins. No intermission.
