Stop time! Stop the clock! Rock Around the Clock! A musical revue of 20th century rhythms performed by vocal artists, percussion artists -- tap and drums, piano and keyboard, and bass. A fusion of sight and sound that brings to life the pulsating beats of ragtime, jive, swing, rock and roll, rock, hip hop, and funk from Broadway, Hollywood, Motown, and Nashville. Possible songs include Night and Day, I Got Rhythm, Alexander's Ragtime Band, Just In Time, Does Anybody Know What Time It Is, Turn Back Time, Time Is On Your Side, Maybe This Time, Love In Time, The Beat Goes On.

We took our granddaughter to this play and she hasn't had this much fun at a play in quite some time. Nor, for that matter, have we. A very clever interplay among multiple cultures, some rather obscure. The costumes were marvelous, depicting just what they needed to and the set design was simple yet very suggestive of each locale. I was puzzled by the San Jose bit until I realized which of the escapees had gone there. Well done! Collapse

This is a little jewel of a play -- cleverly working in myths and tales from around the world, showing the ties between all cultures, in a delightful and amusing presentation that will entertain all ages. The cast is wonderful, the staging, sound and script all beautifully, cleverly, and obviously joyfully designed. A "feast" for sight, sound and mind. Highly recommend it! We will be coming back for seconds! Collapse

Tabard is known for their creative approach and this show is no exception. The well cast, fun adaptation of the book is full of minimilist but magical effects, and lots of laughs. the creative two sided staging was challenging, but I think they handled it well, and though the sound could use some tweaking in terms of levels, and mics, the colorful costuming, and props, not to mention the very cute kids, made this an enjoyable evening. Just 1 1/2 hours, and an entertaining intermission certainly makes this a worthwile show to take the family to. Collapse

Cute show and great little farce of a script; Leslie Tamel does a great job in one of the lead roles.
