Natives of Chicago, the Ying siblings began their ensemble career in 1992 in the farm town of Jesup, Iowa (pop. 2000). They have since performed in venues as diverse as Carnegie Hall, the White House, hospitals and juvenile prisons. The Ying is Quartet in Residence at the Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester and Harvard University. Program includes: Haydn, String Quartet in G Major, Op. 77, No. 1 Musical Dim Sum, Selections by Chinese-American composers Chou Wen-chung, Leggeriezza and Larghetto nostalgico Lei Liang, Gobi Gloria Vivian Fung, Pizzicato for String Quartet Beethoven, String Quartet in A minor, Op. 132
