    Incorruptible, a dark comedy about the dark ages, is set in a destitute and decrepit French monastery in 1250 AD. Their saint's relics have not produced a miracle in thirteen years, and no local, let alone a pilgrim, will pay the obligatory penny to pray before her. The monks are desperate; they can't even feed themselves, let alone carry out their mission of caring for the poor. The river flooded last week. The chandler's shop just burned to the ground, again. To make things worse, the convent down the road claims to have the relics of the same saint, and "their" bones are working miracles. All seems hopeless, and the monks feel their faith slipping away -- until they cross paths with a thieving, one-eyed minstrel who teaches them an outrageous new way to pay old debts.
