    It was more than 40 years ago, in the fall of 1962 when folk music was king in America. A new clear voice, The New Christy Minstrels, appeared on the scene. Among the most memorable songs were, "This Land is Your Land", "Today", "Drink'n Gourd", "Green Green", and Barry McGuire's "Eve of Destruction". The group would go on to win a Grammy for their debut recording, "Presenting the New Christy Minstrels" and sell millions of records. While the group's alumni include such notables as Kenny Rogers and John Denver, six original members still do appear with the group including primary writer and director Randy Sparks and Barry McGuire.
