    It was Sergio Mendes who, in 1968 brought Brazilian music to the American masses. Sergio's signature mixture of bossa nova/samba, percussion accents and distinctive pop instrumentalization presented with two sultry female singers became the sophisticated, sexy sound that defined Brazilian music. In 1968 Sergio Mendes' Brazil 66 released "Look Around" and "Fool On The Hill" followed soon after by "The Look Of Love" and the Portuguese language hit "Mas Que Nada".
