I have known Lou or Todd or whatever you call him for some time and am amazed at the talent. Tonight will be my 3rd visit to Asylum and I can hardly wait. These guys are sooo good and on top of it. Last time I did fall on the floor with laughter. This time I will put something in my back pocket for protection. The quality of the humor from Pacifica no less is something to be proud of. They put the X in extemporaneous they put the hummm in humor and provide all forms of skits from ho to hum. I highly reccomend this troupe as they rarely perform tripe. (pun intended) With that, I exit stage left. Collapse

I went for the first time to this theater as an obligation to see two friends who were in the production of Camelot. Thank goodness I have the duty to support my friends because I was treated to an outstanding production in all aspects. The acting, singing, staging, costuming (A++),props, set decor, musicians, lighting and sound were all superb.I assume this had to a lot to do with cast and crew dedication and excellent direction. I was not familiar with the book, movie or stage play but now know why this story has been so popular and lasted so long. I was thoroughly entertained. The theater itself is a little gem, the acoustics are marvelous and every seat is great. All the people involved were charming from the ticket seller to the ushers. Oh, and, of course, my friends were marvelous!!! Collapse

These people are dangerously funny. Why the person next to me almost laughed his ass off. I would have also except I was rolling in the aisle. Come prepared to laugh and have a good time.

While the 2 one-act plays are different in tone and content, both are excellently done. Don't miss this gem of a show!

I've had the original Broadway cast album of this show for years now. I have always loved the music. I noticed it was being done at the Pacifica Spindrift Theater. So, I went. The show is even more charming than can be told by the album alone. The story is romantic, funny, touching and finally very satisfying. The staging is cleverly executed, and presented on a very workable and period appropriate set. With very strong leads, who sing and act their parts like professionals, this bright, cheery ,holiday musical should be on everyone's "GO SEE" list. Collapse

"SHE LOVES ME " IS A WONDERFUL MUSICAL THAT SHOULD BE SEEN MORE OFTEN. IT BLENDS A CLEVER STORY WITH SONGS THAT ARE LOVELY AND MOVE THE PLOT SWIFTLY ALONG. THE ACTING AND SINGING ARE STRONG. I ESPECIALLY LIKED AMALIA WITH HER LOVELY SINGING VOICE AND COMIC APPROACH TO THIS CHARACTER , GEORG WHO ALSO SANG WELL AND HAD A WONDERFUL SWEET MANNER, THE SEXY ILONA AND THE ROUGISH KODALY SANG AND ACTED THEIR ROLES ESPECIALLY WELL. THE DOWNTRODDEN BUT FAITHFUL SIPOS HAS A SONG THAT ALMOST STOPS THE SHOW. THE EARLY WALTZ BY MR. MARACZEK WAS DONE WITH GREAT PANACHE. THIS ACTOR ADDED A MIXTURE OF GRUFFNES AND SWEETNESS THAT WAS HARD NOT TO ADMIRE. ARPAD'S SONG WAS DONE NICELY. AND THERE WAS A GOOD TURN BY THE COMIC WAITER. THE OTHER SMALLER ROLES WERE HANDLED QUITE WELL. WITH A LOVELY SET, LIGHTING AND MUSICAL DIRECTION THIS IS A PERFECT PRE-HOLIDAY SHOW FOR ALL AGES. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. Collapse
