    Guitarist Rick Vandivier has been performing and recording in the San Francisco Bay Area for the last 25 years. In addition to his work with Nate Pruitt in Primary Colors, Rick has been active in numerous other projects as a guitarist and composer, including leading his own ensemble. Rick's ensemble will be releasing a CD entitled "Spirit of the Room" featuring Rick, John Stowell, George Marsh and Bob Johnson in early 2004. Rick is a graduate of the Berklee School of Music in Boston and the Jazz Studies Program at San Jose State University in California. He has studied in-depth with Pat Metheny and Mick Goodrick, and also received instruction from John Abercrombie, Elliot Randall, and Tuck Andress.
