    Join the San Jose Museum of Art for Creative Minds, five exciting lectures and onstage conversations that bring the greatest names in art and ideas through our doors. The series engages innovative leaders in literature, criticism, science, and the visual arts in an ongoing conversation with you, our audience, on stimulating issues in art. Chosen for their experience, creativity, insight, and fresh perspectives, these speakers will transform your appreciation and understanding of familiar and newly discovered work. Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Interpreter of Maladies and The Namesake (film version 2007), Jhumpa Lahiri's new book, Unaccustomed Earth, will be released in April 2008. Alongside the Pulitzer Prize, Jhumpa Lahiri also won the PEN/Hemingway Award, an O. Henry Prize, and the Addison Metcalf Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, among others. Lahiri was granted a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2002 and a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in 2006.
