StarStruck Theatre presents HONK! Honk! is a tasty treat that is hip and cool, and even though it was maybe suggested by Hans Christian Andersen's "The Ugly Duckling", there won't be an animal costume in sight! Instead, this tuneful romp features bright wordplay and hilarious insights into parenting. It is about a lost duckling's incredible journey home. Along the way, he finds the beauty that lies within himself...and a path into our hearts. With colorful designs, Honk! reminds us that being different isn't necessarily bad - although it isn't always easy!

Last weekend I took my grandchildren to see "Honk" and we were all SO delighted and entertained! My 4 year old grandson actually sat still for the entire show. We loved the music and dancing, and the beautiful, bright colors of the costumes and set were amazing! I was very impressed with the talent of these young actors and I would highly reccommend this show to children and adults of all ages! This was our first time attending a StarStruck production, but it will not be our last!!! Collapse

Starstruck is a company of young performers that, in my opinion, rivals the best of adult community theatre. Their current production of "Honk" again demonstrates that Starstruck shows are to be enjoyed by both Adults and Children. While the material may not be quite at the level of their, recently produced, "Beauty and the Beast", "Peter Pan", or "Thoroughly Modern Millie", the performers, supported by a small but great sounding orchestra, certainly are. I have been a fan of musical theatre for over 50 years, enjoying hundreds of productions, professional and community, from Broadway to Santa Cruz. It has been my privilege to witness performances by some of musical theatre's greatest stars. Yet, I have never known a single company as consistently enjoyable as Starstruck. The skill and dedication of these young performers is a joy. My thanks and appreciation to their adult leaders, Lori Stokes, and her staff for another wonderful show. Collapse
