    The Murphy Awards Gala is an event that recognizes, commends and honors outstanding members of the Sunnyvale Chamber of Commerce and individuals in the community for their accomplishments, innovations, and continuing dedication to Sunnyvale and the Chamber of Commerce. The ATHENA™ Award is also presented at the Murphy Awards to a businesswoman in the community that demonstrates excellence, creativity, and initiative in their business or profession, provides valuable service by devoting time and energy to improve the quality of life for others, assists women in reaching their full leadership potential and contributes to the betterment of the Sunnyvale community. New this year is the inaugural presentation of the ATHENA™ Young Professional Award, which will be awarded to a woman in the community that is still early in her career but whom has already motivated and inspired others in the community by offering her time and resources to lead and improve the community.
