Award-winning Foothill Music Theatre presents Lerner and Loewe's Musical Masterwork in a sensational new production! Celebrating a new era in Foothill Theatre as we inaugurate the intimate, state-of-the-art, Lohman Theatre!
FMT's award-winning director Jay Manley helms this brilliant battle of the sexes about a linguistics professor who, on a wager, takes in a cockney flower girl from the streets of London, vowing to transform her into a refined lady. Featuring choreography by Tyler Risk and musical direction by Mark Hanson, My Fair Lady boasts some of Lerner and Loewe's most memorable songs, including The Rain in Spain, Wouldn't It Be Loverly and I Could Have Danced All Night.
Music by Frederick Loewe. Book and Lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner. Based on the play, “Pygmalion,” by George Bernard Shaw. Directed by Jay Manley.

The beauty of the approach to the brand new Betty Lohman theater did not prepare me for the breathtaking and spell binding production pulled together by Jay Manley, Tyler Risk, and the rest of the highly talented staff which always support Foothill Music Theatre productions. The intimacy of the space made it feel that the theatre's raison d'etre was to present "this production". The talented cast spun together an evening of music, dance, and a myriad of characters which left one wondering "should I shift my focus from the main characters because something wonderful is happening all over the stage?"; a true validation of Jay Manley's regard for a well developed ensemble. The two grand pianos provided the ideal backdrop for the action; complimenting like an aged pair of kid gloves. The production is SRO, and for those who missed it, make plans to see what new wonders lie in store for the summer with "Pajama Game". Foothill Music Theatre's productions are truly amazing!! Not surprising in the sense that I always enjoy Foothill's shows. But surprising in the sense that I never expected a 2 piano version of MFL in a small theater would be so wonderful. Beautifully directed, beautifully costumed, and beautifully performed. Tickets are selling extremely well, but if you can snag one you owe it to yourself to go. And it's a great new theater as well. Don't miss this wonderful show in a very intimate setting. Dancing, costumes and voices were wonderful. It's amazing what two pianos can do!
