A roller-coaster romance from the creators of TheatreWorks’ smash holiday hit Striking12: The GrooveLily Holiday Show, this infinitely charming new musical transcends two twenty-something’s disastrous first date to whirl, for better or worse, into a lifetime of love. Funny, poignant, and dazzlingly theatrical, it careens from first love to last kiss, reckoning the costs, the compromises, and the enduring promise of an affair you will always remember, a passion you won’t soon forget. Contains mature language.

Book, Music, and Lyrics by Brendan Milburn and Valerie Vigoda. Based on the play An Infinite Ache by David Schulner.

I just saw "Long Story Short" performed in Pittsburgh in its premiere and loved it! As cliche as this will sound, I laughed, I cried, and everything in between during this show. It takes you through highs and lows of the characters' lives and truly invloves you for the entire show. Plus, the music is wonderfully written and not the standard kind of music you hear in more traditional musicals. It holds your interest and helps to tell the story rather than just being "filler." I am a musician, but I had to drag my husband to see this show because he usually doesn't like the theater and knows nothing about music, but even he was pleasantly surprised and has since been telling people how much he liked it. Seeing this has made me want to see and hear other things written by Milburn & Vigoda! Collapse
