The Killing of a Chinese Cookie - What do Powerball, the planet Mars and sexual innuendos have in common? Filmmaker Derek Shimoda invites us to take a closer look at a little something taken for granted at the end of nearly every Chinese restaurant meal. Who invented the fortune cookie? And most importantly, what does your fortune say?

Traveling with Yoshitomo Nara - A rare behind-the-scenes glimpse of this critically acclaimed artist and pop culture figure, the film documents Yoshitomo Nara’s largest work to date, following him on a remarkable 240-day international road trip as he sets out to create an imaginary town populated by his iconic images and enigmatic sculptures.

Three Days to Forever - In Riri Riza’s controversial coming-of-age story, two cousins embark on a road trip to a family wedding. Accidental hold ups turn into opportunities for play as the two youths explore the surrounding landscape and, eventually, each other.

Actually, Love - The development of romance and love can be infinitely exciting. At the same time, the path is delicate and sometimes ends disappointingly. Even so, we hope the outcome can bring us everything we need. What unfolds in these elegant and quirky tales captures many of love’s twirls.

The Unseeable - When a young pregnant woman takes refuge in a dilapidated mansion, the lonely and eccentric inhabitants draw her deep into their ghostly world. Steeped in folklore and with an eerie period setting, Sasanatieng’s (Citizen Dog) latest is an elegant homage to classic Hollywood thrillers like The Hauting and Rebecca.

Blood Brothers - A dramatic tale of unbridled greed, love and betrayal, Blood Brothers explores the glittering den of vice and sin that was Shanghai in the ‘30s. Produced by John Woo and starring Bay Area native Daniel Wu, the films tells a thrilling story of three young men whose loyalty to one another is tested by their descent into the city’s alluring crime underworld.

The Voyeurs - A dramatic tale of unbridled greed, love and betrayal, Blood Brothers explores the glittering den of vice and sin that was Shanghai in the ‘30s. Produced by John Woo and starring Bay Area native Daniel Wu, the films tells a thrilling story of three young men whose loyalty to one another is tested by their descent into the city’s alluring crime underworld.

Pretty To Think So - A dramatic love story that moves from the streets of Chinatown and the Bronx to the white-shoe law firms of Manhattan, Pretty to Think So is the feature debut of Francis Hsueh and Steven Hahn. The duo unfurls a provocative film that pairs the agony and ecstasy of dot-com hysteria with the uncertainty of past and present love.
