    Danzantes Unidos Festival is a three-day celebration of Mexican Folk Dance with dance workshops, seminars & evening concerts. Curriculum will include movement sessions in Danza Azteca, Chiapas, Colima, Durango, Guerrero, Jalisco, Michoacan, Nayarit, Sinaloa, Sonora, Tabasco, Tamaulipas, and Veracruz, as well as, seminars in Music & Costuming and a Masters Class in Nayarit.

    The Showcase Concert Series will present the work of performing companies from throughout the state of California. The Gala Concert will highlight their Bay Area groups and Special Guests. Rounding out the weekend activities are the DUF 2008 Mercado -- folklorico marketplace -- and the Pachanga y Fandango -- evening social dance events.

    In the tradition set forth by previous festivals in Los Angeles, San Jose, Fresno, San Diego, Salinas, Hayward, Sacramento, Gardena and Whittier, Danzantes Unidos Festival in San Jose will once again celebrate the spirit and pride of our living Mexican culture.
