Canada College will present a guest artist recital by pianist Myoungsun Hur performing music of Haydn, Brahms, and Prokoviev at 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, in the Canada College Main Theater. Admission is free.

Hur, a native of Seoul, Korea, received a bachelor’s degree in piano performance from Yonsei University. After moving to the United States in 1995, she earned a master’s degree in piano performance from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. She continued her studies in the graduate program at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. She is currently completing her doctorate of music in piano performance with a minor in music theory.

Hur has appeared as soloist and collaborative artist in many cities throughout the United States, as well as in Korea. She has also performed in many master classes, most recently at the International Keyboard Institute and Festival in New York.
