Horizon is an exciting collection of “the Best Works of Bih-Tau Sung“ as interpreted by Bih-Tau over the years. The Company will present the most recent works of Bih-Tau Sung along with Jin-Wen and Jim Tsou. These celebrated artists share a common goal that has forged an original dance technique that is a refreshing fusion of traditional Chinese/ Taiwanese with American Modern Dance. The performance itself features a series of dance pieces by these artists. We are pleased that the current project will feature Bih-Tau’s previous significant works with talented and skilled dancers, including Judy Feezer, Dominic Doung, Lauren Baines, Davina Ziegele, Pearl Wang and Deborah Orlando. A tremendous hit last year, Jim Tsou will perform his incredible solo Between Moon & the Women. The piece Horizon, not seen since 1992 and performed by a trio from the company was single out by Southwest Regional College of Dance Association for Gala Performance. In addition, Guest Choreographer Jin Wen Yu will solo with Lazy Man’s Load one of Sean Curran’s landmark solos. Solace…reconstructed in 2006 is the accumulation a year long collaboration of the Dancing Sun Dance Company. This piece is rooted in Bih Tau’s personal experiences with migration and the emotions following the anniversary or 9/11.
